Plugin Support Post

My last Shashin post has about 75 comments, so it’s time for a fresh plugin support post. I’m also creating a new plugin support category for these posts, which should make them easier to find.

Please use the comments section for any questions about my plugins. I’m gratified that my plugins are becoming more popular, but it also makes it harder for me to provide personalized support. My plugins have extensive documentation, especially Shashin, so please review the documentation to see if you can find an answer to your question there before posting here. Thanks!

Thank you for your instructions about how to fix ShashinWidget.php file for the Conditional Widget plugin. But I had to add more and more CW variables, as one after the other popped up:

/* fix due to incompatibility with Conditional Widgets plugin */
    /* end fix */

Now the widgets editor works with the Shashin plugin. But this time, the Shashin widget fails to display on the front. The same error message now appears there: “Invalid shortcode attribute: cw_home_enable_checkbox”. I guess I need to apply the same fix somewhere else, too, but where?

    Thank you for your support.

    1. Mike says:

Hi Daniel – I’d have to install Conditional Widgets and learn it in order to take this any further, which is beyond what I can provide as free support for Shashin.

I don’t know if this would fly with Conditional Widgets, but one thing you could try is deactivating Conditional Widgets, setting up the Shashin widget the way you want it, and then reactivate Conditional Widgets.

  2. Nick says:

Hey, I’m having some trouble with your html extensible editor buttons plugin. I’m trying to set up a custom button, but I can’t figure out how to link the custom button to the entry in the custom-dialogs.html file. Is it based on the ID field? I’ve tried syncing that up to several of the fields in the html file.

Whenever I have it set to “Yes” for custom dialogs, the button appears but clicking it does nothing and all the way at the bottom of the page the interpreted html form from the custom-dialogs.html shows up whether you click the button or not. I’m able to use your standard buttons without issue. I even stepped back and now I’m just trying to work with the code from the custom-dialogs-example.html, but it’s still not working. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong? Thanks!

    1. Mike says:

Hi Nick – let’s say you’re adding a “sub” tag, and you want a dialog that lets you give it a class name. After doing the inital setup in the Settings page, you’d create custom-dialogs.html and the html for the form should look like this:

      <div id="buttonable_sub_dialog" title="sub Tag" class="buttonable_dialog">
          <form id="buttonable_sub_form">
              <th><label for="buttonable_sub_class">Class:</label></th>
              <td><input type="text" name="class" id="buttonable_sub_class" size="30" /></td>
              <p><input type="submit" name="buttonable_sub_submit" value="Add sub" class="button-secondary" /></p>

The prefix for each id needs to “buttonable_” followed by the name of your tag. For the attribute inputs, the name needs to be the actual attribute name.

      1. Nick says:

Aha! I knew the “buttonable_” format was strict, but I didn’t realize the piece after it had to be the same tag name as before, I was abbreviating it, and it looks like it’s working now. Thanks for the quick help, and I love the plugin, couldn’t find anything else that came close to this functionality (after having custom coded a solution that got wiped by a recent WP update).

  3. tim says:

Hi, I get this error message when I click on the shashin settings panel.

    => Shashin Error:

=> Invalid data property __get for supportOldShortcodes

Plus I can’t seem to get the rss address right in the tools panel either.
This is what I typed in.

    => https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/112249767485222419088?alt=rss&kind=album&hl=en_US&imgmax=1600

    Can you help me out?

    1. Mike says:

Hi Tim – that first error indicates something went wrong with the initial activation (the default settings weren’t saved). Make sure you have the Toppa Plugin Libraries plugin installed, and try deactivating and reactivating Shashin. Fixing that may take care of the 2nd problem as well.

  4. Gianluca says:

Hi Mike, I’ve been using your wonderful Shashin in my personal blog dafne.sitibus.com.
But from today I’m not able to sinc my Picasa album anymore and not able to add a new album: my picasa rss feed is https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/106235173701401407827/albumid/5703577573590735521?alt=rss&kind=photo&hl=it and WP says: Failed to retrieve album feed at http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/api/user/106235173701401407827/albumid/5703577573590735521?alt=json&kind=photo&hl=it
Can U help me? Thanks in advance, Gianluca from Italy

    1. Mike says:

      Hi Gianlica- please see here:

If it’s suddenly not working, it may be that your hosting provider has changed their settings for what kind of outgoing http requests they allow.

      1. Gianluca says:

Hei Mike thanks for your fast & kind reply, but how can I check if my provider has changed its setting? Thanks Gianluca

        1. Mike says:

This is the relevant part of the link I sent you:

The HTTP API will try using PHP’s curl, fopen, and fsockopen functions to retrieve your album feeds before it gives up. If all three are disabled on your server, then you should contact your hosting provider if they can enable at least one of them for you, so you can use Shashin.

Email or call your hosting provider and ask them about it.

  5. Morgen says:

Using the default settings, shashin won’t display over 18 photos for me even if limit is set greater than 18 in a shortcode – it will allow you to display fewer than 18. Changing the default setting to 100 (or some other large number greater than the number of photos in the album) will allow the shortcode to display more then 18, but the pagination links disappear so you can’t view the remaining photos. Here is the shortcode I am attempting to use.

    [ shashin type=”albumphotos” id=”1″ columns=”5″ size=”144″ crop=”y” order=”date” reverse=”y” limit=”25″ caption=”y” position=”center” ]

    Thanks in advance.

    Shashin v3.0.9
Toppa Plugins Libraries for WordPress v1.1.1

    1. Mike says:

Hi Morgen – I should clarify the documentation. When you set a limit in the shortcode, it is limiting the number of photos to return. So if set it to 25, you will never see more than 25 photos, regardless of next/previous links. The “Default maximum number of photos to show” on the settings page controls how many are shown before you will get a “next” link to see the rest.

I can’t tell for sure from your message what behavior you are trying to get. If you want to see all the album photos, with 25 per page, then don’t put a limit in the shortcode, and on the settings page, set 25 as the number of photos to show.

  6. tim says:

    Hi, Mike
I left a comment here yesterday about having these error messages.

    => Shashin Error:

=> Invalid data property __get for supportOldShortcodes

=> Failed to retrieve album feed at https://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/112249767485222419088?alt=rss&kind=album&hl=en_US&imgmax=1600

Now the first one is gone and I see the shashin setting page but still get the second one after I
enter the rss feed link on the shashin tool panel. I read some posts about leaving the user name section out or something but just not sure. It’s a multi site installation by the way. Does that have to do with anything, you think?

    1. Mike says:

Hi Tim – I was able to successfully load your albums with that URL on my test site. So your URL is fine. What’s odd though is that it’s showing you the RSS url in the error message. Shashin should convert it to the json URL before trying to add the albums (so when there’s an error message like that, I would expect it to contain alt=json instead of alt=rss).

I have not tested Shashin in multi-site. But I actually did my first multi-site setup recently. Let me give it a try this weekend and see if I get the same error.

      1. Mike says:

Hi Tim – I just did some multisite testing. Shashin does not currently work with multisite. I need to do some of the steps outlined here – http://shibashake.com/wordpress-theme/write-a-plugin-for-wordpress-multi-site

This shouldn’t be hard to do, so I can add multisite support soon.

I am curious how you got past the first problem, as Shashin is not currently saving its settings per site.

  7. Marcos says:

    Hi Milke!

Thanks for the answer. The first problem that I wrote in the other comment is solved… but the menu image is still appearing in my page. It only happens when I click quickly into the album link and the same album open twice..

Maybe if the response time between clicking the mouse and the album’s opening is reduced, this problem can be avoided. Since the albums would open no more than two times.

You think that’s a possible solution?

    1. Mike says:

Hi Marcos – sorry I did not have a chance to look into that when I said I would. I will try again this for this weekend. It’s a fairly subtle problem to do with the Highslide javascript.

      1. Mike says:

Hi Marcos – it took a couple hours, but I found and fixed the problems. Thanks for pointing it out (it was a general problem – not just on your site). I will upload a new version of Shashin to wordpress.org tonight or tomorrow.

        1. Marcos says:

          Hello Mike! Thanks a lot!

Did you upload the new version?

          1. Mike says:

Not yet – I found a few more things to work on. I hope to get it this week.

  8. Misugi says:

Since I have installed the last version of Shashin (3), I can’t use an other viewer (such as lightbox).
It’s OK in my widget on the home page but it’s not OK in my album (http://www.khaleyou-diantebi.com/photos).
    Any idea ?

    Best regards
    (excuse me for possible mistakes)

  9. Misugi says:

Just a precision, here my code in the page:
    [shashin type="album" columns="3" caption="y" position="center" order="date" reverse="y"]

    1. Mike says:

Hi Misugi – please read here if you haven’t yet:

I can’t provide free support for viewers other than Highslide. I built Shashin using Highslide, and there are simply too many other viewers for me to provide support for them.

  10. My shashin is not working. after i updated, this is the message I got:

Failed to retrieve album feed at http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/api/user/crossfit310/albumid/5488784209713170321?kind=photo&alt=json 404 Not Found

  11. Marc Seguin says:

After a recent update, I’m only able to sync 1 picture per album, sometimes none. I don’t get an error message (other than not finding any pictures, since the album link doesn’t seem to work). I press the Sync button for the album, it starts, completes and only 1 picture shows.

I’ve deleted all my albums, added 1 back and tried to sync it. There are 15 pictures in it and my Photos http://www.marcleoseguin.com/?page_id=8 has the album there and only 1 picture.

I created a phptest page to see what was in the active version http://www.marcleoseguin.com/ttest.php and curl seems to be running.

I wanted to see if there was something I’m missing on my end before I go to the ISP for more questions. I would think that bullet 3 in your Known Issues would simply fail if the API calls were blocked but I’ve been wrong before!

    1. Mike says:

Hi Marc – I’ve never seen this problem before. You’re right, that if you couldn’t connect, you’d get an error message and you’d get no pictures at all. Can you let me know the RSS url you are pasting in the “Add Albums” form? I’d like to try adding your album on my test site, just to make sure the feed doesn’t have any problems.

      1. Marc Seguin says:

That would be a direct RSS feed to the album. I’ve tried the RSS link one level up (for the entire picture library) and though I get all the albums, only a few get pictures.

        1. Mike says:

Hi Marc – I loaded that album on my test site and it worked fine – I got 15 pictures. So there’s something about the environment on your site that is causing it fail. If you’re comfortable editing code, open the file shashin/Admin/ShashinSynchronizer.php, and add the following two lines right after line 80, in the syncAlbum() method:

Then try adding an album again. It won’t finish, since we’re adding an exit statement, but this will let us see what your data looks after Shashin retrieves it. Take the output you see on the screen and paste it in a comment here (or if it’s a lot of output, you can send it to me through my contact form).

It may take a few tests like this before we narrow down where the problem is.

If you’re not comfortable editing code, that’s fine – I can email you a copy of the file with those lines added. Let me know.

          1. Marc Seguin says:

I’ve edited the page and send you the output in the comments form as it’s quite long. The code appears to be trying to retrieve the pictures as it repeats enough times but what appears to be happening is that the call isn’t increasing the count on my webpage. ie: it’s rewriting the same array indice, so that I only ever see the last picture. But that’s just a guess :)

          2. Mike says:

Hi Marc – thanks for sending the output. It looked fine – I counted 15 pictures in the data. So lets do the same thing at the next step. Add this at line 61 of shashin/Admin/ShashinSynchronizerPicasa.php:

Then at line 66 add this (right before the “return” statement):

This will tell us if Shashin is parsing the photo data correctly. (If the problem’s not here, there’s one last step to check, which is saving the data).

          3. Marc Seguin says:

Done. Sent the parse to the comments again.

          4. Mike says:

That data looked fine too. That leaves us with the final step, which is inserting the data into the database. This time open toppa-plugin-libraries-for-wordpress/ToppaDatabaseFacadeWp.php, and at line 131, add this before the “return” statement:

This should show us the SQL code for each photo it’s trying to insert. What you’ve sent so far indicates this is being called for each of the 15 photos, so I’m curious to see what’s happening in this step.

          5. Marc Seguin says:

Done, sent the extract to the comments.

          6. Mike says:

Hi Marc – I’m sorry, I made a mistake in the code I gave you. It is exiting after inserting just one record. We want it to run until it is done trying to insert all of them. Please keep the var_dump statements, but remove the exit statement. Instead put the exit statement where it was before, on line 66 of shashin/Admin/ShashinSynchronizerPicasa.php and give it another whirl, and send me the output again. Thanks for your patience.

          7. Marc Seguin says:

            Ok, did it and resent.

          8. Mike says:

Hi Marc – sorry for taking so long to reply. Shashin is trying to add all the photos for the album, but each photo is being assigned the same ID in the database, so that’s why in the end you are getting only one photo. Can you let me know your server’s operating system, and your mySQL version number?

          9. Marc Seguin says:

            OS: Debian
            MySQL: 5.0.45
            PHP: 5.2.17

Hosted through IPower if that helps any.

          10. Mike says:

Hi Marc – I did some Googling and there is a bug in MySQL 5.0.45 that may be responsible. That would explain why I can’t reproduce it on my system. The example in this bug report is not identical, but is similar enough to make me very suspicious: http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=31971

That version of MySQL is almost 5 years old – I recommend asking your hosting provider if they plan to upgrade anytime soon

          11. Marc Seguin says:

Sorry for the delay. I asked and they don’t plan on updating. So what I did was check the DB. Only 1 entry was being updated at a time, with the same record, like it was stuck in a loop. There were 1037 records. It’s interesting that the photo DB entries are not removed along with the album table entries but that’s another matter.

I figured as a last grasp I would remove and reinstall the app. Did so, synced, worked fine. This leads me to believe that there was a DB issue since that’s the only thing that changed between removal/install (code is identical from backups). I thank you for your help in the matter.

          12. Mike says:

Thanks for letting me know, and thanks again for the donation.

  12. PeterFleur says:

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for the plugin, it looks great so i wanted to try it but when i install i get an “Database query failed for SQL statement” error. So i pasted the query in MySQL and got the error: Error code 1364. Field ‘videoUrl’ doesn’t have a default value.
    Do you know what’s wrong?

    1. Mike says:

Hi Peter – I haven’t seen that error before. For most of the fields I haven’t set a default value.

I just did a Google search and found a couple leads:

It sounds like there may be a bug in certain versions of MySQL, or it sounds like Windows has some kind of a strict mode that may trigger that warning. I recommend checking if your server is on Windows, and your MySQL version number, to see if either of these are relevant.

      1. PeterFleur says:

        Hi Mike,

Thanks! http://drupal.org/node/43316 Did the trick, changing the line in My.ini made it work.

        Thanks again.

Question about the quickcodes utility. I want to add a button that doesn’t insert a shortcode but rather executes a javascript function on the post content in the text area. I have no problem with the js, but how do I link a js function to the quickcode button?

    1. Mike says:

Hi Don – you’ll have to roll your own solution for that. Th new WordPress Quicktags API is made to insert content into the post editor. If that’s not the behavior you want, you can probably still use the API to add the button, but then you’ll need to write your own javascript to connect the button click with calling your custom js.

If you want to do this as your own extension to HTML Editor Buttons, then you’ll want to familiarize yoruself with its buttonController.js file:

  14. Hello Mike,

When i visit my picasaweb site, google redirects me immediately to the google+ photo page instead. On this location i can view the same albums, but they do not show the rss feedcode for this album.
It looks like google is trying to force everyone to use google+ albums instead of picasaweb.
Is it possible to use the Google+ album link somehow? If not, are you considering adding this feature?
What is your recommendation on how to handle this?

    Best regards,

    1. Mike says:

Hi Ruud – this has not happened to me yet – I have not seen this behavior. Is anyone else reading this having the same problem?

Does it do the same thing whether or not you are logged in to your Google account?

The RSS URL Shashin needs looks like this:

The address of the same album when viewed through Google plus looks like this:

At least the user and album ID numbers are the same. For the moment you’ll need to construct the RSS url by hand if you can’t find a link for it. Use the URL above, and replace my user ID and album ID with yours.

I’d like to see if this is a temporary issue or if this is the permanent direct Google will take. Let me know in a week or two if it’s still the same. I can then modify Shashin to accept a Google Plus album url.

  15. Adil says:

    hi mike,

despite selecting ‘no’ option in the ‘include in random?’ list, my excluding photos also shown at ‘random pictures widget’. are you aware of this problem?

    1. Mike says:

I was not aware – I’ll look into it.

      1. Adil says:

thanks a lot for your interest.

        1. Mike says:

Adil – let me know if this is the problem you are experiencing:

Clicking “no” for “include in random” excludes that album from random album thumbnail displays, but does not exclude that album’s photos from random photo displays.

          1. Adil says:

mike, i have just noticed that there is a ‘random album thumbnail display’ after reading your reply.

i had used an old version of your plug-in with an old version of wp and in that version, clicking ‘no’ in album list was enough to exclude this album photos from ‘random photo display’ (i remember so).

so, it is ok now. thanks a lot again for your interest.

          2. Mike says:

I think it actually should work the way it did in the old version. You shouldn’t have to click “no” for every photo in an album if you want to exclude them. I’ll work on this.

  16. Hi Mike!

I have used your Shashin plugin for quite a while now, and I love it. I love the way it displays my photos with Highslide.

However, I am very puzzled with some issues I have had with it recently. I worked on this website for a long time, and the shashin codes changed with the upgrade, but I checked the option to recognize the old tags.

Here is one of my pages…the images are visible here.

Here are a couple of snippets of the shortcodes that Shashin inserted on this page.

Let me be your guide to hiking and nature!

Here are a few of my trips with friends from other countries:

Now, take a look at THIS page:

First row, left to right: Skyline of Yerevan, with Mt. Ararat in the background; Spendiarou Opera and park; Kaskad (Cascade), with World War II Memorial at the top.

Second row, left to right: Matenadaran (National Archive), with statue of Mesrop Mashtots, inventor of the Armenian Alphabet; National Museum, Republic Square; Eternal Flame, Tsitsinakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial.

That is one shortcode and a small excerpt of the text. Now, here is the link to that actual page

    Shashin Error:

No photos found for specified shortcode

And all the photos AND the text for the whole page are gone!

Now, the photos in Life Abroad for the pages Life in Japan and Life in Germany are all fine, as are photos for Outdoors. However, all the travel pages have that error and the photos and text are vanished, although the shortcodes and text are still in the pages. It all worked fine until this Sunday and then vanished. Photos in the sidebar are still working.

Another smaller issue that I am having is that I’m using Highslide with Shashin and I love it. When I click on photos in the sidebar, they expand like they are supposed to. However, when I click on the photos in the pages themselves, it just goes to the photo within the picasa gallery and does not use Highslide. If I click on one of these, and after that click on a photo on the sidebar, it will go to the photo in picasa and highslide won’t work anymore.

I should note that this second, smaller issue was not an issue when I was working on the website and logged in to wordpress — highslide worked fine with everything. It is only when you view it not logged in that it is a problem.

I should also note I am using the 2011 theme, and I DO use a google analytics plugin, although literally everything was fine until several days ago.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance. Thank you!

    1. Mike says:

Hi David – for the post where you are seeing the Shashin error, could you tell me:

      1. If you have synchronized that album recently, or have automatic synchronizing turned on (on the Shashin settings page)

      2. If the Shashin ID numbers for the photos have changed, You can click the album title on the Shashin tools page to view the photos in the album, and it will also show you the ID numbers assigned by Shashin.

I’m thinking that something may have gone wrong with synchronizing the album, resulting in Shashin deleting the old records it had for the album photos, and then pulling in the photo data fresh, and assigning new ID numbers. That would explain why you still see the photos in the album, but the shortcode for showing specific photos by ID is failing. My only guess is some kind of interruption or bad http request when it tried to sync the album.

As for Highslide, it is your analytics plugin. I looked at the HTML in your posts, and your analytics plugin is rewriting the onclick handler in the links, to do analytics tracking instead of calling Highslide. This is just bad design – it should add its code to existing onclick code instead of replacing it. It’s probably designed to modify links in posts by not in widgets, which is why the Shashin sidebar widget is still working. Can you tell me which Analytics plugin you are using?

  17. Matteo says:

Hi, i’m using your plugin, it’s fantastic! i have a strange problem. i use this code

    [shashin type="album" id="11,15" size="medium" order="date" columns="2"]

if i log-off from the session in wp-admin and try to see my page and i click on an album, it gives me this problem

: array_key_exists() []: The second argument should be either an array or an object in on line

but after that error it shows to me the phothos…how can i fix it? thanky you so much! if you want, this is the page….

    1. Mike says:

Hi – I don’t see the message at that URL. Please let me know the complete error message – the most important part is the file name and the line number – thanks!

  18. Matteo says:

Hi. the messagge appear now if you click on the image of the album, i was trying to change the code using shashin type=”albumphotos” to fix problem for now. but i prefer to use shashin type=”albump” in some page 😀
    thank you so much

    1. Mike says:

Hi Matteo – the error is actually from a different plugin. I use Firebug to inspect the page – it’s line 195 of a plugins called users-excluded.php

      1. Matteo says:

thank you so much Mike!!! you are the best one 😀

  19. Hi Mike!

I will look at the sync issue separately in just a bit. What I CAN tell you is I think I changed the sync setting to turn on automatic syncing recently. I’m pretty sure I told the thing to sync also, I believe Shashin was prompting me to do that. I will take a look at the ID numbers.

As for the Analytics plugin, it is called Google Analytics for WordPress, by Joost de Valk, Version 4.2.4 http://yoast.com/wordpress/google-analytics/#utm_source=wordpress&utm_medium=plugin&utm_campaign=wpgaplugin&utm_content=v420

For starters, I like being able to use Google Analytics, but if I need to change the settings or to use a different plugin to use it, that should be easy enough and I’m more than happy to do it.

  20. Mike,

I just looked at the Shashin Id numbers for a couple of the pages, one that still works and one that doesn’t. It appears the numbers got reassigned in the sync or updating process, pretty much like you said. I will redo the shortcodes!

    1. Mike says:

Ok – for now I’ll assume it was a one-time glitch, but let me know if it happens again. I’m not familiar with the different Google Analytics plugins, but another Shashin user told me the one they used had a option to exclude certain domains. Hi Mike,

This happens also when i am not logged in into google. Y
    If you want to see this for yourself;
When i link to: http://picasaweb.google.nl/galerij1.lagosta i will be redirected to: https://plus.google.com/photos/108034314667955193634/albums?banner=pwa

I have looked into my google account settings, but found nothing that explains this.

Best regards, and thanks again for this great plugin.

    Hi Mike,

I found something strange when using type=”albumphotos” for displaying all photos in an google+/picasa album in a WordPress post.
The thumbnail photos are displayed correctly but if I click on one of them it will be shown as just the picture in a new page, not using Highslide.

Funny thing is when I use the type=”album” for displaying the album, it displays the album thumbnail. If I click the album thumbnail all photos in the album are displayed. If I then click a photo thumbnail it is correctly shown using Highslide.

I’m using Shashin 3.0.9 with WordPress 3.2.1 and Twenty Ten 1.2 template.

    Did I overlook something?

    Best regards, Andre.

    1. Mike says:

Sounds like you’re doing it right. Please let me know 1. the complete shortcode you are using and 2. a link so I can see it.

    Hi Mike,

I want to add a share and like button in shashin .on the place where view In Picasa is displaying. i have script for like button but i don’t know where to place script so its visible there.

    could you please help me..

    1. Mike says:

I’ve been getting several requests for this. I’ll add it in an upcoming version, but if you don’t want to wait, go to shashin/Public/ShashinPhotoDisplayer.php, and look for the method setCaptionForHighslide().

If you use GitHub, and want to fork it, that would be great https://github.com/toppa/Shashin/

  24. Sylvain says:

    Hi Mike,

I’ve found a problem with the_excerpt() wordpress function when using the old shashin tag (ie. [simage=2116,288,n,left,]) with the new version of Shashin (3.x). The tag is rendered in the result of the_excerpt() function.
Using the new tag (ie. [shashin type="photo" id="2404" size="320" columns="max" order="user" position="left"]), there is no problem.

I will use on all my new posts the new tag but for all my old posts I see the camera EXIF information on my home page.

PS : by the way, the plugin is very nice and I use it for a long time now. Thank you to maintain and make it evolved !

    1. Mike says:

Thanks for letting me know, but unfortunately I can’t fix it. The shortcodes in Shashin 2 actually pre-date the existence of formal shortcode support in WordPress, and the format it uses is not compatible with the current shortcode format. So the parsing is done differently.

I have a shashin album page (http://kael.net/otiswatch/snaps/), opening one of the albums is fine, but when you select a photo a large container div pops up (class=”highslide-container”) with 3 or more highslide sets of controls. In IE they go away when you navigate to a different page in Chrome you can’t go to another page because the container blocks the events on the menu.

    wp: 3.3.1
The albums are picasa rss feeds
I’m using the highslide bundled with shashin.

    I’m bummed – Any ideas?

    1. Mike says:

Hi kael – someone else reported this earlier and I’ve made a bug fix. But I’m still working on other things for the next official update. If you don’t want to wait and you’re comfortable using ftp to update Shashin, you can get the latest code from GitHub – https://github.com/toppa/Shashin/

  26. DavaoBase says:

    Hi Mike,

    I’m not sure if it’s just me…
When I click on my Shashin photo widget thumbnails, what pops up (via Highslide) is the thumbnail itself, instead of the larger picture.

I have already set the expanded image size to Medium (800px), but the same issue persists. Check my site (www.davaobase.com) and look at the bottom right portion of the page.

What’s weird is that not all of the pictures behave this way. Maybe about 10% of the thumbnails will expand correctly, while the others won’t.

    1. Mike says:

Hi – they are working fine for me, in Google Chrome. What OS and browser are you using? I’ll try to check with the same thing you have, to see if I can reproduce it.
